Field Test Films is an independent production company incorporated in the state of Oregon for the purpose of creating cinematic documentaries about modern science.

The company brings approaches and skills from the advertising and feature film industries, to the creation of science documentaries and educational films. Inspired by the romantic myth of science films from the mid twentieth century, and the work of WNYC's Radiolab, Field Test aspires to find a popular and creative approach to accurate entertaining scientific outreach and reporting.

Field Test Film Corps was co-founded by Sam Gaty and George Costakis in 2010. The company's inaugural project explores the development of Synthetic Biology.
